I'm sure there will be the usual snarky comments about ADHD being a faux condition, but my daughter was diagnosed as having ADHD at the urging of her teachers to be tested. She spent several hours at a children's behavioral center with a PhD in Psychology running her through a battery of tests. We resisted medication for years, but once she started taking Adderall her grades improved dramatically. She only takes it during the week, not on weekends and not during the summer (we fill her scripts for her so we know). She is in college, her high school counselors told us she was not college material. She eats very healthy and exercises and plans to try natural solutions to her problem after she graduates from college.
